Celebrate the Apollo Mission’s 50th Anniversary on Florida’s Space Coast
The Apollo mission’s 50th anniversary takes place this year and institutions across the nation are hosting events, activities, and lectures to commemorate one of the most important leaps that mankind has ever achieved.
We’ll be celebrating on Florida’s Space Coast with numerous events and exhibits that tell the story of one of our greatest scientific achievements: the lunar landings.
In addition, the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex will have the U.S. Mints limited-edition Apollo XI Coins available for purchase (also available here.) The coins come with a certificate signed by Buzz Aldrin, an official authentication from PCGS, and an exclusive case. The design features inscriptions honoring each of NASA’s Lunar missions, a depiction of Neil Armstrong’s footprint on the lunar surface, and Buzz Aldrin on the Moon.
